British Small Press Comics

In the States, small-press includes most of my favourite pros (like Carla Speed McNeil's Light Speed Press). In Britain it's even smaller and mostly done for love not money.

This page can't hope to be a complete listing of British comics artists, so we'll concentrate on giving pointers to other people's lists:

: Pete Ashton's free-for-all discussionzine Viscious and review sheet TRS turned in to a small-press distro based in Birmingham. Now he has moved to London and BugPowder has morphed in to a weblog and resource centre for small-press and alternative comics.
: Andy Luke (Belfast) has taken on zine-reviewing duties with TRS2, available both on paper and hosted on the BugPowder site. TRS2 reviews a bunch of British s-p comics and gives addresses from which you can order them. You can get a copy of the paper TRS2 by sending a stamped, addressed envelope, or -- better still -- by posting him a copy of your zine to review.
